The Wichita State Shockers have pressure but what is pressure at this point as they have been the hunted since they topped off back in November 2013. The Missouri Valley Conference Tourney is underway and the Wheat Shockers taking care of business like only they know how in the MVC.

The Shockers made quick work of the Evansville Purple Aces 80-58 but not after leading by just a 41-31 score at the break. By the time the game hit the 2nd T.V. Timeout at the 11 plus minute mark the Shockers were on a 19-8 run to move the 10 point lead to a 21 point lead. Shockers then close the deal with a 80-58 win as they were led by Seniors and All-MVC Candidates Ron Baker (17 pts) and Cleanthony Early (17 pts 6 rebs). Purple Aces Guard D.J. Balentine had a game-high 31 points including seven Money balls.

The Wheat Shockers shot 50% from the field and almost 50% from the Arc. They need to fix that Free Throw Percentage as it was again not up to snuff shooting just 56% 14 for 25. WSU Lead Man Gregg Marshall and the Shock know they need to shoot north of 80% in the Big Dance to keep things Air-Tight moving forward.

The Shock will play Missouri State on Saturday at 230PM CT as they beat the Redbirds of Illinois State 53-48. The Bears on January 11th lost to the Wheat Shockers 72-69 in Extras and the MVC Tourney is in St. Louis, Missouri as the Bears will be looking to put an "L" on the Shockers to Shock the NCAA Men's Basketball World.

360 Degrees the Bears did lose to WSU on March 2nd 68-45 and this will be their 3rd meeting in the 2013-14 season.
