Connecticut Huskies came in with 2nd place in the AAC all to themselves if they win as the Cards had to win to share the AAC Regular Season Title with the Bearcats of Cincy. The Pro Scouts to look at that Shabazz Napier and Russ Smith Match Up and Smith won that by not shooting the Money Ball but waiting tables.
The Cards leading 30-18 at the break took off in the 2nd half as the Cards shot 45% from the Arc by sharp-shooting Luke Hankcock's 4 of 5 from deep as he had 16 points. Cards PF Montrezl Harrell led with a game-high 20 points as he grabbed eleven boards. Both Chris Jones (10 pts) and Wayne Blackshear (11 pts) also were in double figures as the Cards ran off a 51-30 2nd half to blow the Huskies right out the KFC Yum Center...#HowDoYouKFC! Russ Smith had three pints but 13 assists as he broke down that UConn "D" time and time again.
Disappointing to say the least as both UConn Guards Shabazz Napier and Ryan Boatright picked the wrong game to struggle in. They combined to shoot 4 for 24 from the field and 1 for 14 from the Arc with Napier 1 for 10 from deep all by his lonesome. Huskies SF DeAndre Daniels led UConn with 17 points and eight boards as the Huskies fall into a three-way tie in the AAC at 12-6 with Memphis and SMU.
Louisville shares then first ever AAC Tilted with the Cincy Bearcats at 15-3 as they move to 26-5.
