The Boston Red Sox behind a magnificent outing from starter Rick Porcello as he throws seven frames of shutout hardball beats the Tampa Bay Rays 2-0 to stay in the hunt in the five-team race called the 2015 Al East.  

The two runs for the Carmines was supplied by Rook CF "Mookie" Betts from Music City as he takes Rays pitching for two Solo Blast as Bo Sox Nation is abuzz about their pint-sized CF who has serious game. Betts took Rays Starter Drew Smyly deep in the 6th to break up a 0-0 tie. Then with the score still 1-0 Carmines Betts takes Rays reliever Ernesto Frieri deep in the 8th for the other run as the Sox win 2-0.

Smyly took the loss as he falls to 0-1 as he went six allowing just two hits and a run with six strikeouts and two walks. The Bo Sox Porcello goes seven shutout frames scattering eight hits and striking out six. Carmines Captain Save-A-Game Koji Uehara notches his 5th save in six chances.

The Sox move to 13-14 which is 4th in the AL East and the Rays fall to 14-13 good for 2nd in the AL East as they chase the first place Bombers at 17-10...
