Derek Jeter the Ambassador for the Show for quite sometime will start his 162-Game Tour her shortly as he calls it quits. He doesn't leave the Shortstop Position though without some heavy-hitters and talented players ready to run with the best "Shortstop in the Show" Title. Hanley Ramirez when locked in like last season is simply a Top 5 in the Show at any position. Troy Tulowitzki when he is healthy is Top-Notch and the 2nd best in the NL West and the 2nd best in the Show. After those two there are some clear cut arguments as to who is in the last three slots in the Top 5 SS in the Show.

Top 5 SHORTSTOPS in MLB for 2014 in order:

Captain Derek Jeter #BronxBombers

1. Hanley Ramirez #DodgerBlue (pictured right)

Comes off the Dodgers D.L. as Yasiel Puig was carrying the "Boys in Blue" and he joined the fray with a bang! The Real Hanley Ramirez we saw glimpse of playing for the Fightin' Fish was in Tall Order as he wreaked havoc on MLB Pitching in 2013. A .345 average with 20 Taters and 57 Ribbies in just 86 games with an OPS of 1.040 having scored 62 runs is out of this world. He has two motivational factors for 2014 as he wants to get the Dodgers to another Chip and he is in a Contract Year...pitch around #13 in Dodger Blue!

2. Troy Tuolwitzki #Rocks aka "Tulo"

He is a nightmare at the dish and throws leather all over the place. The Heart an Soul of the Rockies with he , Michael Cuddyer, and "Car-Go" Carlos Gonzalez. In 126 games in 2013 he hit .312 with 25 bombs and 82 ribbies with 139 hits. His OPS was .931 and he has been around 30/100 with a .300 plus Batting Average since 2009...and that is consistency. The Rocks go as "Tulo" goes in 2014!

3. Ian Desmond #NATitude

They talk about Bam Bam 34 in Bryce Harper, Jayson Werth, and Ryan Zimmerman when talking the Nats but NL Foes will tell you that Shortstop for the Nats is ridiculous. Ian Desmond is one of the best kept secret in the show as that .280 average with 20 homers and 80 Ribbies in 2013 backs all that up. He also was among the leaders with 38 two-baggers. The real knock on him as he is just 28 years of age is an OPS in 2013 of .784...and to wreak havoc at the dish in the Show that thing needs to be .900 plus.

4. Jose Reyes #BlueBirds

Believe it or not just three years removed from an NL M.V.P. Season in 2011 as he was Rook of the year in 2003. He started off with that broken ankle but came on strong in 2013 playing in just 92 games. A .296 average with 58 runs scored and spread that number out over 162. He was brought on to set the table for the Blue Birds and will do so if injury-free in 2014. He still is among the Top 5 Shortstops in the Show but he must step it up in 2014.

5. Jean Segura #BrewCrew

He is the future for the Brewers as he came out of nowhere to have a big 2013. Segura along with Aramis Ramirez and Carlos Gomez helped keep the Brew Crew afloat as Ryan Braun served his suspension. J.G. hit .294 with 44 thefts and scored 74 runs. That OPS of .754 has to come up but at the ripe age of 24....lookout he will only get better.

Just missing the cut...

JJ Hardy #Os
Elvis Andrus #Rangers
Starlin Castro #NorthSiders
Ben Zorbrist #Rays
Jed Lowrie #SwinginAs
Asdrubal Cabrera #Tribe
Andrelton Simmons #BravesCountry
