The Pittsburgh Steelers 2016 Draft Class has gotten some scrutiny but in Kevin Colbert and Coach Mike Tomlin I trust. Miami Florida CB Artie Burns was taken a pick right behind who the Steelers really wanted in Houston Cougars William Jackson III. Burns reminds me of on tape of former Tennessee State All-American Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie but more raw on his bump and run skills.

Pittsburgh filled needs as they needed CB, DL, S and OL help and for the most part most of this draft will be infused into a team that in my guesstimation is right there to make a run. Safety and 2nd rounder Sean Davis could be really good as he is a cover safety that is extremely athletic. I know Ohio State Vonn Bell was right there for the taking but Davis was a better pick.

That 3rd rounder in MEAC two-time Defense Player of the Year Javon Hargrave dba the "Big Cat in the MEAC" (South Carolina State) might be the pick of the litter. He played in a small conference and dominated but when the lights came on at the Shrine Week he also turned heads all week versus NFL Draft Picks up and down the board.

Let's go to the #StillerGang 2K16 Draft Board powered by "Triple Diamond Chronicles":

Round (Pick) Position Player School

#1 (25) CB Artie Burns Miami Fl.

#2 (58) S Sean Davis Maryland

#3 (72) DT Javon Hargarve South Carolina St.
(Video below)

#4 (123) OT Jerald Hawkins LSU

#6 (220) OLB Travis Feeney Washington

#7 (229) WR Demarcus Ayers Houston

#7 (246) ILB Tyler Matakevich Temple

360 Degrees...

Burns and Davis will have plenty of time to get acclimated to NFL Speed and WRs playing against QB Big Ben and all that talent on offense including WRs A.B., Wheat, and Le'Veon among others...that's why I have no concern whatsoever...Zero!

Hargrave if he as good as advertised gives the Steelers huge flexibility as Pro-Bowler Cam Heyward and up and coming star Stephon Tuitt have come together to maybe form Optimus Prime in 2K16...

Hawkins needs to get up to speed as OG Ramon Foster is close to rolling credits and tackles Marcus Gilbert and Alejandro Villanueva are above average at best...and that is not taking shots...

Feeney converted from Safety to LB in his Senior Seasons at Washington but runs a 4.5 and is a Hybrid who could turned a lot of heads as if he stayed at Safety would have been an easy Day 2 Draft pick as he was on my board...

Ayers brings speed and a build like A.B. and "Wheat" and yes if he comes around and can get some targets in the game and be productive we have the "Minions" of Heinz Field...

Matakevich the 2015 Bronko Nagurski Award Winner is just a Football Player as he lacks in many areas but super productive at Temple...only time will tell for this young man!

GRADE B- / C+

Look all Draft are a guessing game in terms of how players will perform. The Steelers first two picks almost need to be "Plug and Play" Guys and if they are not the 2K16 Draft Grade needs a Parent/Teacher Conference.  Remember the Steelers 2K15 2nd round Pick in All-SEC Performer Senquez Golson and the book is still out on him but he had a year to watch and learn and he knows what's expected! Hargrave might be the best in this class when its all said and done but we need those top 3 to make a huge impact in 2K16...
