Miami Marlins Tom Koehler was on his A-Game through six as the Marlins cool down the Chicago Cubs and that three-game win streak 2-1 on Friday in Wrigleyville. Koehler picked up immediate run support in frame one as Marlins OF Chris Yelich took Cubbies tarter Jason Hammel deep in the 1st for a solo blast making it 1-0 Marlins.

Kris Bryant of the North Siders scored on a Miguel Montero RBI single in their half of the first tying the game at 1-1. After that first frame both settled down until Justin Bour for the Marlins took Hammel deep in the 6th for another solo shot making it 2-1 Fish. Koehler going six and allowing a run on five hits would give way to the Pen for his 7th "W" of 2015 against four defeats.

Hammel would get the loss falling to 5-4 as two mistakes cost him and both left the premises. Miami moves to 35-46 as they are on a four-game win streak. The Cubbies fall to 42-36 as they fall back to nine games out behind the Redbirds.
