The Dallas Mavericks get a nice coup in the midst of the 2015 NBA Draft Free Agency. Out of nowhere the Mavs get two huge pieces from the West getting an upgrade while making one team in particular weaker and potentially dropping that team out of the Western Conference upper echelon.

Clippers Restricted Free Agent "DeAndre the Lob City Giant" spurns a five-year $109 million deal to go to the Mavs for 4 years and $80 million with a Player Option for the 4th year. D. J. leaving that kind of bread on the table and playing in L.A. for a Team that is right there in the mix for a Chip is shocking as we wait to hear his relationship with Clips PG CP3 was a huge determining factor.

D.J. in 2014-15 led the "Logo" in Boards (15 rpg) and Field Goal Percentage (71%) as his effort from the Charity Stripe needs some serious help. The Mavs let Tyson Chandler walk as they will boast a front line of Chandler Parsons (a future GM) and the Mavs and Germany's G.O.A.T. and the Bluedude's favorite NBA Bubble Gum "Dirkilicious" Nowitzki dealing with that Spalding Orange.

Dallas wasn't done there though as they also picked up former Marquette Star and Wisconsin H.S. Player of the Year from Madison, Wisconsin and Rip City Castoff  in Wes Matthews Jr.. "Bloodline" Matthews (4 years $48 million) will be coming off an Achilles Injury but that didn't stop Mavs VP of OPS and GM Donnie Nelson and Assistant GM Keith Grant from pulling him away from Portland. "Bloodline" averaged 15.9 ppg and shot 38.9% from deep.

The Mavs now must get a fluid PG as former Hookem' Horns Standout D.J. Augustin would be my choice as his game has come full circle in the last two season playing in both Chicago and Detroit...
