The Detroit Tigers have some decisions to make as RHP Justin Verlander gets his 1st victory of 2015 and LHP David Price is out there kinda sorta for the taking. More importantly the Tigers avoid the sweep at the hands of the Tampa Bay Rays with a 2-1 "W"!

Verlander , moving to 1-3 in 2015, was sensational as the only run he gave up was Asdrubal Cabrera's solo blast in the 5th. Justin goes eight strong allowing that run on four hits as he struck out ten. Verlander's velocity and late movement was as crisp as its been in the last two years and that is a welcoming sign for the Detroit Hardball!

The Tigers down 1-0 heading into the 7th hung a crooked two taking the lead on RBI singles by 2K15 All-Star J.D. Martinez and Nick Castellanos. Rays Ace RHP Chris Archer takes another bad luck loss as he goes seven (six scoreless) striking out eleven and allowing just three hits falling to 9-8.

Can the Motor City Kitties get into the Wild Card as they are just 3.5 games back of the Twinkies? Secondly do they still want to move LHP and Ace David Price with a possible Wild Card Bid in the mix?

Tampa Hardball is just 2.5 games out of the Wild Card...
