That trade involving Patrick Sharp for Dallas Stars Defenseman Trevor Daley pretty much spelled Johnny Oduya will no longer be with the Indian Head moving forward.
Now Oduya will take Daley's place on the Dallas Stars for a two-year $7.5 million and the Hawks by no means were going to pay that as Oduya at that price was longer in the budget. Oduya was a vital part of the Hawks Championship Runs as he was a fixture with fellow Swede Niklas Hjalmarsson dba the "Hammer"!
