The Pittsburgh Steelers and lead man Mike Tomlin agree on an extension through the 2018 season. The deal through numerous media outlets is worth $7 million plus which puts him in the Top 3 or 4 highest-paid lead man in the "Shield"! Tomlin the last deal was making $5 million and that was in the top 5 highest-paid for lead-man in the NFL.

What has Tomlin accomplished since his tenure with the Black & Yellow since the 2007 season let's take a look:

@CoachTOMLIN Vitals
#Steelers Lead Man 2007- present

8 yrs 148 Gms 82-46 W-L

1 Super Bowl
2 Super Bowl Appearances
4 AFC North Titles
2 "Fight for Lamar" Trophies
11-5 in 2014

360 Degrees...

We all know this is a "What have you done for me lately society" and Coach Tomlin knows that better than anyone. Those back to back 8-8 seasons in 2012-13 were by no stretch solid and the 11-5 in 2014 means nothing if you do not get to the Big Bowl and win as that is the standard in the 'Burgh.

The biggest move moving forward was moving Keith Butler to D-Coordinator and keeping O-Coordinator Todd Haley as the Steelers are all about no turnover everywhere from the Front Office down to the coaches...Continuity is key!
