The Pittsburgh Pirates are paying attention to the task at hand which is the next opponent going game by game and frame by frame. They are also keeping their "Peepers" on Baseball Town U.S.A. and their #1 Act in the Show the Redbirds of "Matheny Ball". The Minnesota Twins in the #2 slot in the AL Wild Card just happen to be on the schedule and in the Buccos Way..."Raise the Jolly Roger"!

Behind 5 2/3 from Francisco Liriano allowing three runs on ten hits and then Buccos putting up a crooked ten on the board including two Bombs the Pirates sweep the Minnesota Twins in their mini-inter league two-piece.

A wild affair at Target Field on "Hump Day" as the Twinkies led 3-1 heading into the 5th when Buccos Star CF and former NL M.V.P. Andrew McCutchen takes Twinkies starter Ervin Santana deep for a two-run Big Fly and that created a "Cutch 22" situation.

Then 'Burgh Hardball chases Santana off the "Bump" in the 6th hanging a crooked five highlighted by a Wild Pitch, sac-fly, and "Cutch 22" driving in two more on a single. That put the Pirates up for good at 8-3 as they win 10-4.

The Buccos move to 59-41 still five games back of the Redbirds. The Twinkies fall to 52-48 and they are #2 in the Wild Card with bumper to bumper behind them talking at least five teams within 3/5 games of that slot!

"Cutch 22" one of the premiere Ballers in the Show goes 2 for 4 with two runs scored and three RBI with that two-run blast like only #22 in Black and Yellow can do in 162...
