After some combined 65 SOG by both teams and New York Rangers Cam Talbot getting his inner Henrik Lundqvist and Blackhawk Corey "Craw-Dad" Crawford stopping all 35 SOG he faced in regulation this game was played in late May instead of early March.

It was just 32 seconds into the extra period as Derick Brassard gets a slapper by "Craw-Dad" for a 1-0 Blue Shirts winner. That was after Captain Serious dba Jonathan Toews of the Indian Head won the face-off to behind the extra frame and missed on a backhand. It just doesn't get nay better than this as the Hawks Defense held Rangers top goal-scorer Rick Nash to 5 SOG as he really never got going.

The "Blue Shirts" clearly the aggressor as they as they out shoot the Indian Head 36-29 and out hit them as well 22-11. The Hawks get 4 SOG by Patrick Sharp as they miss out on a point. I have this feeling that both might see each other later this summer if they can get through some really tough teams ahead of both in the standings.

Hawks stay at 84 points good for 4th in West while the "Blue Shirts" move to 40-17-7 with 87 points good for 4th in the East...

Chicago gets a two-game march out West hitting Phoenix first on Thursday March 12 then Team Teal on Saturday March 14th...
