The Wichita State Shockers move on playing with that #7 seed which should have been as high as a #4 seed as they sneak by a game Indiana Hoosiers Bunch. Shock Nation stayed in the game by being the aggressor and getting to the stripe at the tune of 26-30. The Hoosiers stayed close by shooting 11 for 21 from deep as it came down to my lead guard is better than your lead guard as Mr. Fred Van Fleet of Rockford, Illinois and Shock Nation prevails 80-79.

Van Fleet with a game-high 27 points (9-10 FT) carried Shock nation as his partner in crime Ron Baker added just 15 points including in uncharacteristic 0-5 from deep. The Shockers only assisted on nine buckets which means Van Fleet had to manufacture some of his buckets all by his lonesome.

Hoosiers PG Yogi Ferrell didn't disappoint going right at Van Fleet and Shock Nation leading IU Bloomington with 24 points. IU Freshman sensation James Blackmon Jr. added 14 points as they combined to shoot 6 for 10 from deep.

Indiana with a 39-36 lead at the break never pulled away from the Shockers and Wichita State just kept coming and coming led by their dynamite back court. Now with the Shockers winning it sets up a match up everyone in Kansas wanted to see years ago...Shock Nation vs Rock Chalk Jayhawk in the round of 32...and take that Kansas Jayhawks Basketball. I know it has no benefit for you playing them but you can run but you cannot hide!
