The North Carolina State Wolfpack is on a ride and that ride might continue as they have a slight edge over the sometimes offensively-challenged Louisville Cardinals. The 'Pack is riding both Anthony Barber and Trevor Lacey as they have lit a spark under Carolina Red. The 'Cards are following Terry Rozier as the lead guard and Montrezl Harrell in the painted-area.

In the nightcap the Michigan State Spartans doing their customary March runs are locked in and a dangerous team and a real threat to get to Indy. The Oklahoma Sooners are doing it behind the Rebuild-A-Program Master in the well-traveled Lon Kruger. This should be a battle all 94 feet of hardwood.

PLAYBOOK

From the Carrier Dome in Syracuse N.Y.

Game 1 at 7:47pm ET

#8 #Wolfpack N.C. STATE (22-13)
vs #4 #Cards LOUISVILLE (26-8)

Both teams ant to get out and run but the Wolfpack's two might be better than the Cardinals one unless Louisville Senior Wayne Blackshear shows up. Lacey and Barber are going to come at Rozier as he needs someone riding shotgun. Then in the inside Harrell from Louisville can be a force and they must keep him away from "Splash Plays" and the no lay-up rule has to be in full effect. Gottfried vs Pitino as we have Three Stripes vs Three Stripes talking Adidas Basketball in this one.

Game 2 at 9:45pm ET

#7 #Sparty MICHIGAN State (25-11)
vs #3 #BoomerSooner OKLAHOMA (24-10)

Look it's as simple as Apple Pie as the Spartans run out two seniors in Branden Dawson and Travis Trice and underclassmen Denzel Valentine a nice inside/outside match. The Sooners roll with Big 12 leading scorer Buddy Hield and Ryan Springler in and around the paint. Both team are coached extremely well and the defense end is where they lay the groundwork for every outing. It will come down to half court execution and the transition game as well as what Izzo calls Turnovers vs "Live Turnovers" for TD's. The ladder is the killer and will put you in the red on most nights.
