The Chicago Blackhawks right in the middle of a race for the division might want to make this the last of its kind heading into late March and early April. The Dallas Stars some eight points off the final slot also is fighting for it's playoff life as there was plenty of urgency at the AA 215 off Interstate 35 in downtown Dallas, Texas tonight.

The Stars starter early and kept the pressure on as they scored the only two goals in period 1 beating Hawks net minder Corey Crawford making it 2-0 Dallas. Tyler Seguin (33) and Patrick Eaves (9) scored those two in the 1st frame with Seguin's a PP Goal.

That score would hold through two as the Stars would put the game away with two more goals in the 3rd as Crawford stops 25 of 29 SOG. Two of the Stars goals were of the power play variety as the hawk could get nothing done on the in the Stars end.

Stars net minder Kari Lehtonen stopped all 33 SOG as the Indian Head out shot Dallas 33-29. The compound matters the Hawks were 0-2 on the power play with the Stars 2-3. The Hawks simply just were out skated and out hustled and that is not good considering what is on the line. I will give them this one as they have been playing Zip-Loc Air Tight Ice Games during their win streak that was snapped tonight.

Now they get the Hurricanes of Carolina on Monday in Raleigh as the Hawks stay at 92 points with the Central leading Blue Notes at 96 points...
