The #15 Oklahoma Sooners had it all going in the 1st half leading the #17 Iowa State Cyclones 37-18  at the break. When was the last time you seen Hilton Coliseum sounding like then Ames, Iowa Public Library...not for quite sometime!

The Sooners not to be denied they thought on this night stayed the course as it was 48-28 Sooners at the first T.V. Timeout at the 14:55 mark in the 2nd half as Hilton Magic would enter the fray and never look back again in this one.

In a span of five minutes right under the ten minute mark the Cyclones had sprinkled "Boomer Sooner" with not only some "Hilton Magic" but a 22-0 run that gave ISU a 50-48 lead. That two-point lead at the just under ten minute mark would be a seven-point lead 65-58 Cyclones at the under five minute mark as OU never recovered.

The Cyclones would finish the 2nd half of play with a 59-33 2nd half run and inside of that a 22-0 run before OU finally scored tying the game up at 50-50. Cyclones All-American Candidate Georges Niang led ISU 23 points and eight boards. Lead guard Monte Morris added 19 points and five helpers with Jameel McKay chipping in with 14 off the bench.

The Sooners were led by Big 12 P.O.Y. Fav in Shooting guard Buddy Hield's 26 points including 4 for 9 from deep. The Sooners just got ambushed and looked for cover as there was nothing but "Hilton Magic" all over the place.

Iowa State moves into a tie with OU at 11-6 in the Big 12 as they move to 21-8 overall as OU falls to 20-9 overall...stay tuned as these two will make some serious noise in the Big Dance!
