The Texas Rangers quieted a raucous Jays Nation and also quieted the Junior Circuit's #1 Offense through 162 scattering just three runs. It was the Rangers Lamborghini Gallardo dba Yovani Gallardo out dueling Toronto starter David Price as Gallardo kept the damage to a minimum.

It was "Bloodline" Delino DeShields and Adrian Beltre RBI singles in the top half of the 3rd that got things going in this one as Texas led 2-0 after three. The Blue Birds cut the deficit to 2-1 on a Edwin Encarnacion RBI single in the 4th a Texas came right back in the 5th with two more runs. Those runs were highlighted by a Solo Blast by Robinson Chirinos making it 4-1 Texas.

In the 5th Gallardo gave up an RBI double to Kevin Pillar cutting that 4-1 lead to 4-2. Yovani was done after five allowing just two runs on four hits. Rangers middle man Keone Kela then gave up a Solo Bomb to 'Jays RF "Joey Bats" dba Jose Bautista cutting the lead to 4-3 after six.

Price again could not hold Texas down as Rougned Odor takes Price for a Solo "Big Fly" making it 5-3 Rangers as that lead would hold up for a Texas 5-3 win. Price goes seven with five running wild on his tab...five hits, five runs, five earned runs and five strikeouts.

Texas lost Beltran in the 3rd due to a sore back and the Blue Birds lost "Joey Bats" in the 9th due to an apparent leg injury as the Rangers lead 1-0 with Game 2 at 12:30pm ET back in Toronto...
