It was the Chicago Cubs five-run 2nd frame and nearly five scoreless frames of relief that propelled the North Siders to a 6-3 victory in game two as we head back to for #RedOctober the not so "Friendly Confines"!

Cubbies starter Kyle Hendricks held up for 4 2/3 frames before exiting giving up three runs on four hits. It was the Chicago's 2nd frame where they score five runs off Redbirds starter Jaime Garcia. That frame was highlighted by Jorge Soler's two-run "Big Fly" after Redbirds Matt Carpenter led of the game with a Solo HR off Hendricks in the bottom half of the 1st.

Chicago would add one more in the 3rd and had a commanding lead at 6-1 heading into the middle frames. Hendricks got in trouble in the 5th as both Kolten Wong and Randal Grichuk went Solo Bombs cutting that 6-1 deficit to 6-3.

The Cubbies then used Travis Wood, Trevor Cahill and Chicago's Captain Save-A-Game Hector Rondon to go the rest of the way keeping the #RedOctober off the scoreboard. Now the Cubs will get a Monday Tilt with Jake Arrieta going and that doesn't not bode well for the Redbirds who will go with Michael Wacha.

Note: Dexter Fowler continues his stellar play at the dish going 2 for 5 with an RBI and a run. Jorge Soler was 2 for 2 with run and two RBI with that two-run HR as Cubs Skipper shifted around some things like he always does and it works almost all the time..."Maddon Ball"!

Redbirds starter Jaime Garcia goes just two frames as him going in game #2 backfired for "Matheny Ball".
