Players have to make plays in a course of a game that has a direct effect on the outcome. The Indianapolis Colts relied on some Vets with some serious Mileage to get it done on a short week and they came through for a 27-20 victory within the division to move to 3-0 in the AFC South.

It was a combination of QB Matt Hasselbeck (18/29 213 yds 2 TD) along with RB Frank Gore (22 rush 98 yds TD) and WR Andre "305" Johnson (6 rec 77 yds 2 TD) to get the Colts to the winner's circle 27-20 vs Houston.

Texans QB Ryan Mallett didn't last long as he went out with a Hamstring Injury but Brian Hoyer played well. A 24 for 31 and 312 yard performance throwing two TDs kept the Texans in the game. It was the last ditch effort when he should have ate the Wilson Pigskin instead throwing a Pop Warner-esque INT that sealed the game for the Colts. Not blaming Hoyer but there is a reason why he has been a spot NFL starter at QB his entire NFL Career when not holding a clipboard.

The Texans other bright spot was WR Deandre Hopkins 169 yards on eleven grabs as he dominated the Colts DBs. RB Arian Foster ran for 41 yards and had 77 yard receiving but that wasn't enough. That Texans "D" especially on the back end has way too many penalties for them to have any success.

Indy now moves onto 3-2 and 3-0 in the AFC South. Houston with plenty of work to do falls to 1-4 and now 0-1 in the AFC South...not good!
