Everyone was shocked at the 2K15 MLB Trade Deadline when one LHP Cole Hamels of the then Phightin' Phils of Philadelphia traded Hamels to of all places the Texas Rangers. Now some two to three months later Hamels will come in handy as the Rangers head to October Hardball fighting for the Junior Circuit Chip beating the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 5-3 in Arlington, Texas on Thursday.

It was Halos OF Shane Victorino who started the scoring with a sac-fly in the 2nd off Texas starter Derek Holland making it 1-0 Halos. That lead would hold up until the 5th when the Rangers jumped on Halos starter Andrew Heaney (6-4) for a crooked four. That onslaught was highlighted by Rangers Star Hot Corner Adrian Beltre's bases-clearing two-bagger scoring three.

L.A. would make it interesting in the 6th when "El Hombre" took Holland (4-3) deep for a solo blast making it 4-2 Texas. AN RBI single from Erick Aybar cut the lead to 4-3 as Holland was gone with Ross Ahlendorf pitching for Texas.

A Josh Hamilton sac-fly scores Beltre in the bottom half of the 7th as Texas wins 5-3 and wins the 2K15 AL West Crown. Rangers Captain Save-A-Game Shawn Tolleson grabs save #35. This "W" was huge considering this series was four games with all sorts of scenarios and implications on the AL West and AL Wild Card.  The Halos fall back one full game of the idle 'Stros Show as Houston awaits for a three-piece clash with the D-Backs...in the "Valley of the Sun"!

Congrats Rangers Nation and North Texas Hardball on a spectacular 2K15 Season...
