The New Orleans Pelicans are not too far off from becoming a factor in the west following the lead of one Anthony Davis. Davis teamed up with Sniper Power Forward Ryan Anderson and gave the Cavs fits at the "Q". In the end it was too much of the Cavs top three players that gave State Bird of Louisiana fits!

The Pelicans led at the break 56-51 as Pelicans Anderson had 23 of his team-high 32 points in the 1st half. He also made five of his eight money balls he would eventually hit in that first half finishing 8 for 12 from deep. Both Kevin Love and King James had 10 points at the break with James about to hit the "Q" phone booth for some unfinished Manic Monday business!

In the 3rd frame King James started off with the first ten points for the Cavs as the Pelicans led 64-60. The Pelicans though not backing down had a strong 3rd from Eric Gordon, Jrue Holiday, and Davis. The Cavs though took the lead at the end of three 85-79 with King James counting for 17 of the Cavs 34 points in the frame.

Then the "Lake Oswego Monster" got it going from the arc in the 34th with back to back money balls early in the frame pushing the Cavs lead to 91-83. Anthony Davis kept the Pelicans in it with 14 of his 27 points in the 4th. Kyrie Irving then played shooting guard as King James let him ride off the Spalding orange and "Kyrie for Mayor" delivered!

Irving had 14 of his 32 points in the 4th as King James sealed the win with two free throws late for a 118-111 Cavs win. James line 32 points, twelve boards, and ten helpers. Love added 22 points to go with both Kyrie and James twin pack 32.

Anderson led the Pelicans with 32 with Davis adding 27 points and grabbing fourteen boards. Pelicans PG Jrue Holiday went for 16 points and five helpers to round out the top three scorers for State Bird of Louisiana Hoops!

Cavs get win #1 at the "Q" for 2014-15 with both teams 3-3 on the season...
