The San Diego Chargers just wanted the win and not be the first to lose to the 2014 Oakland Raiders. Both defenses played extremely well but in the end it was a Phillip Rivers to Malcolm Floyd 22-yard TD pass that separated those two on Sunday in the "Murph"!

Raiders place kicker Sebastian Janikowski of the FSU 'Noles hit two FG's as did Bolts place kicker Nick Novak as that Floyd TD reception made the difference in a 13-6 Bolts win. Both Bolts RB's Ryan Mathews and Branden Oliver combined for 106 yards on the ground on 29 carries. 2nd-year WR Keenan Allen of Cal grabbed eight Wilson pigskins for 63 yards leading the Bolts in the vertical passing game!

The Chargers "D" held that Raiders attack led by Rookie Derek Carr to under 225 yards of total offense. Carr threw for 172 yards on 16 of 34 but no TD's or INT's. His run game did him no justice as Latavius Muray, Run DMC, and the RB formerly known as "Pocket Hercules" now government name Maurice Jones-Drew combined for just 70 yards on sixteen carries.

The Bolts looking at big and better things stay in the hunt just a game behind both the 7-3 Chiefs and 7-3 Broncos in the AFC west at 6-4. Oakland is looking to cash in in the 2015 NFL draft in the 2nd city!
