The Dallas Mavericks move to an impressive 11-5 and a game that was thought to be easy wasn't by any stretch. The Knicks came in with no 'Melo Anthony and a disappointing 4-10 w-l in the 2014-15 season. Something had to give as it was Ex-Knicks vs ex-Mavs and all the above highlighted of course by Mr. 27K points in Dirk Nowitzki.

The Knicks and Mavs played even Steven the hole way as the Mavs led 46-42 at the break. The Knicks stormed back in the 3rd behind the hot hand of Argentinian Pablo Prigioni hitting four money balls in the 3rd for a Knicks 73-71 lead.

The Mavs played through Dirk down the stretch and he didn't disappoint as he made a huge jump shot to give the Mavs a 94-91 lead with 50 seconds remaining. Then with the score 95-93 after a Devin Harris free throw in the Mavs fav "Get Shots" J.R. Smith hits a step-back "J" for a 95-95 tie with .9 seconds remaining. An alley-hoop try to Tyson Chandler was a no go sending the game into extras.

The Mavs took over in the extra period as the Knicks could not find the range or the rim. Dirk led with a game-high 30 points and six boards. Tyson Chandler goes 17 points and twenty-five boards as the Mavs look like that team that grabbed their only chip back in 2011.

Knicks Tape was led by Jose Calderon's 21 points and ten boards with J.R adding 15 and Sam Dalembert going double-double 13 points and thirteen boards. Knicks fall to 4-12 and where is former #1 overall pick from 2006 Andres Bargnani? I knew the Raptors knew what they were doing!
