A balanced Mavs scoring attack led by "Parsons in a Lower Greenville" Tree's 20 points was better than the Pelicans big three of Anthony Davis, Tyreke Evans, and Jrue Holiday. The Mavs shot over 50% from the field and it was their ability to get in transition and get easy buckets.

The Pelicans down 66-49 right before the break used a Tyreke Evans money ball with .5 left in the 2nd frame to get the deficit to 14 at 66-52. New Orleans then used a 37-20 3rd to get right back into the game trailing 89-86 after three. REKEhavoc led the Pelicans netting 17 of his 22 in the 3rd as he carried the Pelicans.

The Mavs though down the stretch used Brandan Wright early 4th quarter start and a series of shots made by Dirk Nowitzki and Tyson Chandler to foil any hopes of the Pelicans getting into the winner's circle. Along with Parson's team-high 20 both Monta and Dirk added 17 points each.

The Pelicans get a game-high 31 points, fifteen boards, and three blocks from Ant Davis. PG Jrue Holiday addded 24 points and six helpers with the aforementioned Evans with 22 points. The Pelicans shot just over 42% from he field but could not slow down the Mavs attack.

Dallas moves to 2-1 and New Orleans falls to 1-1...
