The Phoenix Suns coming off a night fending off not the Lakers but the "Black Mamba". The 2nd leg of a back to back from the motel to a hone-cooked meal featured the Memphis Grizzlies. When thinking of the Grizz you think of the Grit and Grind "Bigs" Marc Gasol and Z-Bo Randolph and nothing else really but a street fight after that. Well the Suns got that and an entree of that Grizz back court of Mike Conley Jr. and Courtney Lee.

A 52-46 Suns lead at the break turned into a 76-71 Grizz lead as Memphis went to Grit and Grind mode after intermission. Both Conley and Lee accounted for 17 of those 30 points in the 3rd frame. Lee the former O-Magic 1st rounder from the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky by way of Indianapolis, Indiana basketball powerhouse Pike H.S. might have found a home.

The Suns got to 79-75 and no closer as the Grizz turned it up defensively and doing so gets a 102-91 "W" holding that potent Suns attack to under 50% from the field and more importantly forcing 18 Suns turnovers.

#GnG gets a game-high 24 points and eleven assists from Conley Jr. and 22 points from Lee as the "NAPtown Crusaders" (Conley Jr. from Indianapolis Lawrence North HS) combined to shoot 7 for 9 from deep. Gasol added 18 points and six helpers with Z-Bo dropping 10 points and six rebounds.

The Suns gets a team-high 23 points from Eric Bledsoe and 20 points from Markieff Morris. Last night's PHX Hoops hero Gerald Green goes for 11 points on 19 minutes.

Grizz moves to 5-0 as the Suns drop to 3-2...
