The Mississippi State Bulldogs showed some real resolve and fight but that 19-3 halftime deficit was just too much to overcome playing a team like Alabama on their home turf. There is no such a thing as a perfect game like in Hardball but 'Bama on both sides of the pig game darn close to doing so as the Bulldogs made it rather interesting late!

The Tide dominate the first half a Safety started the flood gates and they tackled on a FG in the 1st frame to make it 5-0 'Bama. That 2nd frame started with All-American WR Amari Cooper highlights capping a 5-play 61 yard drive making it 12-0 'Bama. Then a circus catch beating cover 2 high safeties that led to a Derrick Henry 1-yd TD score making it 19-0 Tide.

The 'Dawgs for their psyche got on the board at the end of the 1st half on a Evan Sobiesk 23-yard FG making it 19-3 'Bama at the break. State dominated the 3rd frame but only came up with a FG making it 19-6. Then on the 4th a Fred Ross TD Catch made it 19-13 'Bama and the pressure was on O-Coordinator Lane Kiffin and QB Blake Sims and they answered the bell.

Sims ran for three 3rd down conversions as the Tide went 76 yards on 15 plays taking just over six minutes off the clock and that was your ball game. TJ Yeldon then punched it in on a 7-yard TD as the Tide went up 25-13 to stay.

Prescott and Company scored one more TD making it 25-20 'Bama as they hold on for a huge victory. Prescott was 27 for 48 and 290 yards and 2 TD but three interceptions. He also ran for 82 yards on twenty-two carries as 'Bama won that all important turnover battle 3-0.

Tide QB Blake Sims was better than good taking what that explosive State "D"gave him. He threw for 211 yards on 19 for 31 and a TD. This 18 yards rushing all came on that all important tart of the 4th frame drive where 'Bama put the game on ice.

'Bama RB's Yeldon and Henry combined for 108 yards on 27 carries. 'Bama WR's "Coop" and DeAndrew White combined for a dozen grabs for 128 yards and a TD. Bama now has the Auburn Tigers standing in their way. State has that "Egg Bowl" and the Ole Miss Rebels as there is a lot of unfinished business still to be solved before talking Playoffs!
