No it wasn't the hobbled Sparty Alum Kirk Gibson (current Arizona D-Backs Manager) smacking the Game-Winner off of Closer Extraordinaire ECK of the Oakland Athletics...the Bash Brothers Edition. It wasn't the "Wizard of OZ" smacking a 9th inning Hr in game 5 in Busch off Dodgers Closer Tom Niedenfuer to send the NLCS with the Boys in Blue to Game 7 either.

It was on the Hardwood and the LAKEshow up 75-68 with a little over 2 minutes to go in the game and of all people the Black Mamba starts looking like he called the MGM Grand earlier in the day. Not taking shots at Kobe but never saw Kobe look like a non-Closer or not knowing what to do at the end of a Game in Winning Time in the Logo. Was it the nerves racing that we may get Game #2 or the fact that my actions are faster than the body is moving called father Time.  What ever it was the Thunder win 77-75 and move up to a 2-0 Lead in the best of Seven Western Semis.

Lakers played a near perfect game and taking the end out of the ball game they had the Thunder on the ropes.  When Kobe gets 20 on 9-25 shooting but the Bigs, Drew and the Spaniard Gasol, combine for 34 points and 20 boards and the Lakers score only 75 that looks like and smells like a W.

The Thunder get 22 points from KD but it was a non-impact...hard 22 points and Westbrook and Harden combine for 28 it has to be a Lakers Win....right? The Lakers didn't make Shots early in the 4th frame that I think would have led to an easier W down the stretch. Kobe was sitting out the start of the final frame and the LAKEshow missed their 1st 7 shots.

This is what they call in the Logo....If WE KEEP it CLOSE...maybe WE CAN STEAL the GAME at the END....and that is exactly what the thunder did and they put the LAKEshow in a huge and almost insurmountable situation.

The BLUEDUDE will go over later today what that last play should have looked like or even knowing the Thunder had a foul to give what should have happened in the Squeeze the Orange PLAYBOOK.

Lakers back home Friday Night down 2-0 and fighting to get back in the series as well as some Team 16 Chip Pride.
