The SENIOR CIRUIT PLayoffs are about to unfold and there is one constant........the BOYS off of BROAD STREET......them FIGHTIN' PHILS.....and forget expectations....they have met and exceeded them around.......oh MAY 2011.

The CARDINALS get a early XMAS Present from the BRAVES and get in only to one daunting task ahead of them. They do have ALBERT and SKIP LaRUSSA.....so the CUP runneth not totally bare in the LOU.

The D-BACKS sent the Defending World Champions to the HOUSE and they are ready and willing to take on the BOYS from BEER TOWN led by a RYAN and a PRINCE.

This series will come down to timely hitting, defense, and pitching....like it always does. The D-BACKS have been a staple in the NL Playoffs compared to the BREW CREW but if there ever was a time to say the BREW CREW has that team.........it's now......and they can finally talk about BRAUN, FIELDER, WEEKS, and the SAUSAGE Race instead of Gorman THOMAS, YOUNT, MOLITOR, and Ben OGLIVIE to name a few.

CARDINALS (90-72) @ the FIGHTIN' PHILS (102-60)

PREVIEW: The ANOINTED Ones have taken care of business all season...them PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES. Now the REAL PRESSURE is on but SKIP Charlie MANUEL Group is as Veteran as they get and as Professional as they get so forget any SIDESHOWS or thinking the PHILS will have a meltdown......not happening unless we are talking PAT'S or GENO'S CHeeseSteaks or TONY LUKE's.

You know what your getting facing the PHILS.....that GRADE A Top Shelf Starting Pitching period............The only way you can get to the PHILS if you can get deep into their weaknesses.......the BULLPEN. Other than that they are Certified and Verified SURGEONS out on that mound.......LEE, DOC HALLADAY, OSWALT, and HAMELS....just like you like it.....LEFT...RIGHT.....RIGHT.....LEFT.

The OFFENSE is led by J-ROLL, CHASE, RYAN, and VICTORINO.....aka WELCOME back CARTER Fame. As solid as they can be they will dissect you slowly and try to get your STARTERS in a high Pitch count early by being patient so they can get your PEN. These BOYS will be a tough out.

The REDBIRDS have CARPENTER.........then PUJOLS, BERKMAN, and HOLLIDAY.......so the meat of that ORDER is tough to deal with. The PHILS Pitchers are hoping that they get somewhat COLD or not locked in trio because if anyone of the three are BLAZING....they can cary the CARDS.

SKIPPER Tony LaRUSSA has been here many times as it's one game at a time but a MINI Series like this one...2-2-1....the 1st one is the one to get. So look for the REDBIRDS to come out firing and try to get to HALLADAY and LEE early. If those 2 settle down or any of those 4 on that staff.......It will be a long night in CARDINAL Country.

WINNER: Fightin' PHILS........3-0....way too much STARTING PITCHING.....and the CARDINALS only have CARPENTER.....no shot

DIAMONDBACKS (94-68) @ BREW CREW (96-66)

PREVIEW: The D-BACKS played at the top of the NL WEST for most of the season. The D-BACKS UPTON, MONTERO, YOUNG, and ROBERTS. UPTON probably is their BIG GUN and the then YOUNG.

Pitching Rotation is solid led by KENNEDY, HUDSON, and SAUNDERS. The BULLPEN has HERNANDEZ and Veteran Reliever JJ PUTZ. I bet you METS FANS are saying what about us......PUTZ........he was injury prone before he got to the desert.

The D-BACKS will be facing a well-oiled machine in the BEER MAKERS. Offensively they get no better than the 1-2 punch of LF Ryan BRAUN, who might be the 2011 NL MVP, and 1B Prince FIELDER who get that AWARD just as well.

The SUPPORTING cast with those 2 will be WEEKS, HART, MORGAN, and BETANCOURT. The OFFENSE is built around the 2 BOPPERS so to slow down the BREW CREW you must try to neutralize BRAUN and FIELDER...then you might have a chance.

Pitching is KEY...and GALLARDO (5-0) vs the D-BACKS will try to get the BREW CREW off to the right beat. He will joined by GREINKE, MARCUM, and WOLF. The PEN is led by Kameron LOE and save man John AXFORD with 46 saves this season.

The Series will be decided by whose staff can handle the other teams LINE-UP. The Middle relief might play a huge part as well.

Not since 1982 has the City of MILWAUKEE felt like this. It's one step at a time for BOTH and in a MINI SERIES...it could be OVER before it starts.
