I have been saying all along that Larry Legend did what he was supposed to do as in Draft, Trade, and Fiscally be responsible for the pacers Salary Cap.

Bird drafted well CHECK
He made the Right Trades for the Right Players CHECK
The Pacers Cap has some leverage for 2012-13 CHECK

What the Pacers have for the 2012-13 Season for the cap is a Guaranteed $34 plus million spent not counting Player Options, Team Options, or Qualifying Offers.

He traded for Spurs and Indianapolis Native and IUPUI Grad...Combo G George Hill to shore up the PG and 2G spot behind Collison and Paul George among others.

Then he went out and aggressively got the services of former NBA All-Star PF David West to give the pacers an added inside Presence other than Area 55..Big Hibbert.

All this has paid Big Dividends and Larry Legend, although quiet and unassuming, keeps his competitive juices flowing under his VP of OPS Title for the Pacers. The 2011-12 NBA Exec of the Year went to Bird because of the above but he has quietly built the Pacers back quickly after losing their Best player ever a few years back in 2012 NBA HOF Inductee Reggie Miller aka "Miller Time" aka The Sniper who made Market Square Arena and built Conseco Feildhouse.

Now Bird is the 1st ever in the Logo to win Logo MVP, Logo Coach of the Year, and now Logo Exec of the Year. Only thing left for Bird is to get that Larry O'Brien as an Exec as his coaching days are behind him.

Congrats to Larry Legend...the Hick from French Lick as quiet and unassuming as he is...staying relevant in the Logo.

Note: Larry did lead the Pacers to their Only Logo Finals Appearance in the 1999-2000 season.....
