A little under a Week ago the NBA was the 1st Sports League according to Mashable Entertainment to have reached 5 million Followers on Twitter.

A simple point to that is that the Logo markets its Sport better than any other Sports League. They have been doing it for years and what also helps it is an Individual Sports as well as a Team Sport so they can market both accordingly.

Take for instance the Logo had the Showtime Lakers and Larry's Celtics in the 80s from a team standpoint an marketing also Bird and Magic along with Kareem, Big Game James, DJ, Ainge, the Chief, McHale, Riley, and Superman Rambis among others. This is where the Logo thrives and they are the Leaders in knowing how to market their Product as the way we communicate and look at things is ever evolving.

The BLUEDUDE knows first hand who I think are the Top NBA Teams on Twitter without any research and in this order the Top 5:

1. LAKEshow
2. Knicks
3. Heat
3. Bulls
5. Celtics
5. Thunder
5. Clippers

Then after my analysis of my Top 5 Teams on Twitter in the Logo you can also break down why those Teams are followed heavy.....the Players that play for them.

1. LAKEshow: Kobe & Kobe & Kobe & Kobe
2. Knicks: Melo, Stat, LINsanity (by himself)
3. Heat: King James, Wade County, Bosh 1
3. Bulls: the ADIzero Hero, Jo KNOWS, Luol
5. Celtics: Double R, KG, the Truth, Sugar Ray, and DOC
5. Thunder: @Russwest44 @kdTREY5 @JamesHarden13
5. Clippers: LOB City, theBLAKEshow, CP3

The Knicks were at the Top not only because of LinSanity but they are the #1 Radio and TV Market in the Country and lets be honest...no one does it BIG like the NYC...no one. You also have the Top 3 Markets in Radio/TV in the NYC, LA, and the 'GO.

Note 360Degrees: Have you ever wondered why the NHL has tried to follow the Marketing Model of the Logo? Current NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman was current NBA Commissioner David J. Stern's Right Hand man before Bett pulled off into ICE land. The LOGO does it better than anyone except of course NIKE...real talk.
