After watching a lot of Basketball on the Collegiate level this past season the BLUEDUDE is still at Odds of who is the Best Point Guards in the 2012 NBA Draft. From my evaluations of the Top Points I saw a lot of Tweeners or Combo Guards that look to shoot 1st and pass 2nd. I know the PG Position has evolved into a Shoot then pass Position but where is that Traditional PG in this Draft?

The Top Point Guard Prospects in NBA Draft Class 2012:

Note: Rankings are the Number in front of Prospect

1. Kendall Marshall UNC: He has the size of Jason Kidd and all though he doesn't move like J-Kidd especially defensively the Kid is a heck of a PG. His lack of quickness is made up by knowing where to be on the floor at what time. His Basketball IQ and Court Savvy is 2nd to none and you watched the tar Heels when  he went out with all those potential 1st Rounders....they slumped. Reminds me of former Temple Owl Ric Brunson of Salem, Massachusetts who is currently a Bulls Assistant but a little bigger and better passer.

2. Damian Lillard WEBER STATE: Hails from East Bay and his game is comparable to a quicker Thunder PG Eric Maynor. He shot a lot of shots because Weber State needed him to but shot a real good percentage as well. A snake off the Dribble I just don't know if he can be a True NBA PG right now. But if he isn't the 1st or 2nd PG taken someone has missed the boat.

3. Tu Holloway XAVIER OH: He is a PG and he makes everyone around him better. I could have put Teague or Wroten ahead of Tu but Tu's Game will translate very well on the next level. Reminds me of  Jrue Holiday minus the size...silky/sneaky smooth.

4. Marquis Teague KENTUCKY: His older brother Jeff of the Highlight Factory in Atlanta I think is better but I also think Marquis has a higher ceiling. He is a blur end to end but lacks a consistent stroke. Really good on the ball defender. Reminds me of former Atlanta Hawks/Oklahoma PG and Garland Texas Native Mookie Blaylock except more athletic.

5. Tony Wroten JR. WASHINGTON: Another prized product of the Seattle Garfield HS (Brandon Roy) but is not a PG and is very undisciplined. Staying at least one more season at U-Dub Seattle would have helped him tremendously. A Southpaw with excellent Size and Awareness but too much street in his game. Reminds me of a Poor Man's former Mizzou Star and Kansas City PASEO HS Star Anthony Peeler (Class of 1988 Mc Donald's All-American with the likes of ZO, Billy O, and the Rain Man Kemp among others). Wroten is a Sniper with aspirations of being a PG.

6. Tyshawn Taylor KANSAS: Finally gets his chance to enter the Logo. It seemed Ty was in Lawrence forever and so are all them turnovers. Mind you this he might be better than Former KU Combo and now Heat PG Mario Chalmers. Ty is an excellent finisher and can get to the rim on anyone. A Sleeper pick and i think he could sneak up to high 2nd or late 1st...I really do. Reminds me of Mario Chalmers but more of an Attacker Offensively. Somewhat of a true Point its the TOs that kills his mid-1st Round Status.

7. Jordan Taylor WISCONSIN: A true PG and he ran Badgers' Lead Man Bo Ryan's System. He is deceptively quick and a really good mid-range game. Reminds the BLUEDUDE of Knicks Toney Douglas minus Douglas' Range from beyond the Arc. A definite 2nd Round pick if you need a PG. Quick and good feet.

8. Scott Machado IONA: From Queens, NY and a real slick game that reminds me of former St. Johns Redman PG Erick Barkely. Machado has a burst, excellent speed end to end, and his court vision is off the charts. He led the nation in 2011-12 in Assist at 9.9 per outing. Machado also won the Haggerty Award for the NY Area's Best College Player...how 'bout them Granny Smiths.

9. Casper Ware LONG BEACH STATE: Hit SDSU Aztecs for 26 and UNC for 29 and he is only 5-10 and around 170 el bees. Is he Mr. Keith Jennings of ETSU Fame or is he Earl Boykins of E. Michigan Fame.  Bigger than both and his cat-like quickness gets him off of defenders to get his looks. He has a shot and i think he could do what Kings PG Isiah Thomas did for the Kings this past season..Score, Defend, and Lead your Squad in Transition Offense....

10. Malik Wayns VILLANOVA: Very good change of pace PG with a nice feel for the game. Excellent Defender and hands also a sturdy enough frame to get to the rim and finish. Was a better prospect last season and fell off a little this season. And when Players do this you have to look at the player one for Injuries and two...who did he play with the following season for the smokescreen. His only real drawback is his consistent stroke or lack thereof and that is a Logo Killer for a Perimeter Player who is already limited

The Players with the true PG Skills.....Machado, Marshall, J. Taylor, Holloway, Wayns

The Players with the most Up Side....Wroten Jr., Lillard, T. Taylor, and Teague

The Players with Scoring Ability like a Sniper...Wroten Jr., Ware, and Lillard
