A quarter of the way into the 2012 MLB Season and each division with the exception of the NL West is still wide open.

With 162 Games on the schedule it is still early for those at the Top or the Bottom to get overzealous or panic from where they are in the standings. The tightest race and the best division in the Show is the NL East.  The Nat's are holding on tight but from the Braves in 2nd to the Fightin' Phils 5th and the writing is nowhere close to being on the wall.

Whose HOT.....

The LA Dodgers have won 6 in a row and 8 of their last 10 as they increase their lead in the West to a full 7 Games.

The Red Legs of the Ohio River have won 7 of their last 10 and have crept up on the NL Central leading Redbirds as the Red Legs are only 1/2 game back of 1st.

The Carmines were almost out of the picture in the AL East but they have put together a 7 out of 10 to get close to then .500 mark and a game behind the struggling Bombers.

The Fightin' Fish a week ago were on a tear having won 11 of 13 and have cooled off a bit. But the Fish are 2 games back of 1st in the Show's Best Division.

Whose NOT.....

The Colorado Rockies have almost threw in the proverbial White Towel as they have lost 8 of 10 and find themselves a whopping 14.5 games back of the Boys in Blue.

The Brew Crew and Cubbies have both lost 8 out of 10 but the Cubbies are expected to be losing as they are in full rebuilding mode but the Crew has surprised many with the fall out.

The Halos still are struggling in the AL West and they are in Danger Territory having won 4 out of their last 10 and if the rangers hit another streak it could put the Halos Must Win Status in June...not good.

The Bombers are 3 out of 10 and the effect of not having the Sandman has taken its toll sooner than expected. Now the Yanks are 5.5 out of 1st chasing none other than the O's.

NOTE: Dodgers have the Best Record in the Show at 30-13 and the Cubbies have the Worst at 15-28...ouch

The best race will be in the NL East as all 5 teams could conceivably win that division.
