The Los Angeles Lakers moving towards that upper echelon in the west gives this time the visiting Portland Trailblazers an "L" and that is two losses to L.A. within the last two weeks for Rip City. Los Angeles wins 126-117 but that wasn't the story and if you had ticket to this one lookout and get that thing signed by you know who!

LeBron James continuing his assault on the "Logo Watch" Record Books did it again tonight as he passes the late great Wilt Chamberlain for 5th all-time on the NBA Scoring List. How did he do it well 44 points, ten boards and nine helpers as "Bron" messed around and almost went Triple-Double. The Lakers needed all that 44 Rip City All-Star Point God Dame Lillard went team-high 31 points and his partner in crime the "Engineer" C.J. McCollum added 23 points as they shot 6 for 17 from Sunset Strip.

Lakers "Big" Javale McGee added 20 points for the "Lake Show" with Brandon Ingram dropping 17 and Lonzo 11 as L.A. gets four of its five starters in double-figures. Back to "Bron" as he passes Wilt 20K by just 6 points with 31,425 to Wilt's 31,419. Now #23 in Purple and Gold is around 800 and some change from catching "His Airness" Michael Jordan and he will do this season and catch the Lakers own "Black Mamba" dba Kobe Bryant next season if he can stay on pace and healthy.

One thing "Bron" has been able to do all these years is stay healthy and to climb these numbers and to get to Sky Hook's dba Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's epic 38,387 he will need at least six more seasons to do so playing at a very high-level. Kareem averaged 22 points in 17 straight seasons...do the math.

The "Mailman" Karl Malone is nearly 4,600 plus passed Kobe and that is the Toll Booth before getting to Sky Hook and how do you like them Spalding oranges?

Congrats King James who is like a work of Art...one of one!
