Depending on what a team wants to give and get both players carry value. Looking from the outside teams have to look deeper into who and what is the real problem. Bird Rights: the Larry Bird exception allows teams to exceed the salary cap to re-sign their own free agents, at an amount up to the Max. To qualify (in which both Beal/Wall are qualifiers) a player must have played 3 seasons without being waved or changing team as a free agent.
Just talking "Bags of Bread" Beal has the more enticing and affordable deal. Also everyone needs a shooter and Beal not only is he a big-time NAB Sniper he has worked on his game to get going "Off the Bounce". You trade for Beal now you pick the remaining Cash on 2018-19 and get hit with a $55 plus million tag and for his game and what he brings just looking from the outside a steal.
Wall-Star has that huge Bag coming next season a 4-yr $188 million plus and to get Wall-Star you might need to mortgage the farm. An NBA point god of his caliber is he worth it as I am looking more at Wall from a "Leadership" standpoint and not blaming him or Beal but who is the ring leader for the dysfunction. That's the Wizards problem right now but if you trade for either player it might be your problem.
