Its been well-documented and rightfully so about that the tragedy at College Park, Maryland talking the passing of a student/athlete. Not comparing that tragedy to what happened early on in Columbus, Ohio in the Urban Meyer Situation its been a long ride for both mentally and physically.

This football game today though in College Park, MD was a dandy ad the Fighting Turtles of Maryland were still in the hunt for a bowl game and didn't get the "Memo" that the Buckeyes were in the same hunt but a bigger hunt.

After a grueling back and forth 52-51 Buckeyes "W" that saw the "Bucks" give the Fighting Turtles every chance in the game by running skits called the "Fumblerooski" and not Big Red dba Nebraska Cornhuskers Version the Buck escape

Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins threw for 405 yards on 28 for 38 and 3 TDs but also had a pick six. Haskins ran for 59 more yards on fifteen carries and scored 3 TDs. "Bucks" RB J.K. Dobbins ran for 203 yards on 37 totes and a score but he also fumbled near the goal line at the end of the 2nd frame. Both Ohio State WRs Terry McLaurin (4 recs 118 yds TD) and Johnnie Dixon ( 6 rec 102 yds) were getting in their bag as well. That's 688 yards of total offense and it came down the Terps' inability to convert what looked to be a game-winning two-point conversion in extras!

Terps' QB Tyrrell Pigrome threw for 181 yards on 6 for 13 and a score but it was his errant throw that in extras that if converted may have put the Terps' a "W" and bowl eligible. Maryland RB Anthony McFarland the star of the game ran for nearly 300 yards (298 yds 21 totes 2 TD) as he dominated in the run game. Now the Terps' fall to 5-6 and 3-5 in Big 10 play.

The Buckeyes keep everything in tact moving into next week with the "Rumble in Columbus" versus the rival Michigan Wolverines as they move to 10-1 and 7-1 in conference.
