Give the Wolverines a whole bunch of credit as they played nip and tuck with a Top 3 Team in all of College Basketball for about 36 minutes and some change until things started to unravel! Wisconsin won the game late at the stripe as they shot 14 for 16 from the foul line. Couple all of that with the Wolverines getting to the stripe twice the whole game...game set match U-Dub Madison!

A 31-26 Badgers lea at the break turned into 54-54 just above the five minute mark. The Badgers then went to Big 10 Player of the Year and maybe Naismith National P.O.Y. Frank the "Tank" Kaminsky for two straight buckets for some breathing room along with a Sam Dekker money ball for a 61-56 lead at the under four minute mark.

The Badgers would, then close on a 10-4 run as they would eight free throws within those ten points as Michigan fouled or turned the orange over or missed buckets in the last three minutes of play. Badgers go onto win 71-60 as Kaminsky (16 pts 12 rebs), Dekker (17 pts 6 rebs 6 asst) and Nigel Hayes (11 pts 9 rebs) dominated UM in and around the painted area. Throw in guards Bronson Koenig (12 pts) and Duke Dukan (8 pts) combining to go 4 for 9 from deep it was too much for Team Maize and Blue!

The Wolverines get a game-high 21 points and eleven boards from PG Zak Irvin and a dozen from Ricky Doyle as they fall to 16-16 and needed to run the table in the tourney to get an automatic bid.

The Badgers now await the winner of the Indiana and Maryland Game with the Hoosiers maybe on the proverbial bubble as Hoosiers lead man Tom Crean is sitting or standing on Kingsford Edge Charcoals!
