The Phoenix Suns trying to get to that upper echelon in the west had the Los Angels Clippers in Staples on Saturday night testing one of the west favs. The Clips at the same token trying to find their identity needed to see a team on the rise maybe to hist that other gear that has been missing early on in the 2014-15 season.

After all the smoke cleared the Suns and Clips were tied at 54-54 at the break. The Suns were lad by 2013-14 3rd team All-NBA PG Goran Dragic dba the Dragon who had a game-high 15 points at intermission. The Clips were led by "Game Night w/Blake" who had 10 points with CP3 adding nine points to lead the Clips at the break!

L.A. made the adjustments at the break and that spring boarded them to a 42-20 3rd frame spurt putting them up 96-74 by 22 points on the Suns. Both CP3 and Blake combined for 19 of that 42 in the 3rd. The Suns went nearly six minutes hitting just two buckets in the period.

The Suns made a run late but got no closer than eleven points. CP3 had nine assists to go with tat 32 with Blake adding 19 points and eight boards and DeAndre the Lob City Giants going a dozen points and grabbing eighteen boards. Clips starters outscored Suns starters 89-36 hence that's your ball game right there.

Gerald Green coming off that deep Suns bench led Phoenix with 26 points with both Dragic and Isaiah Thomas adding 19 points apiece. That Green/Thomas concoction is working for PHX Hoops and that hands down is the most explosive set of reinforcements in the Logo talking back up guards if you call them that!

Clips move to 5-3 while the Suns fall to 5-5...
