The Chicago White Sox get great news as Pale Hose VP Kenny Williams told Sox Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf to cut the check for Cuban slugger Jose Abreu and J.R. did without hesitation. Some 10 months later Mr. Abreu hit away through 162 with power numbers and becomes the 2014 A.L. Rookie of the Year!

Abreu slugged his way to the AL Rook of the year and he is the backbone of the Pale Hose Resurgence in 2015 hopefully! He follows at first base for the South Siders the likes of HOF Frank "Big Hurt" Thomas and "Paulie" P.K. Konerko and that is some tall order. After one season though he looked and played the part!

Shoemaker was dominant and slid right in that Halos rotation with Ace Jered Weaver and #2 Garrett Richards who went down in Fenway with that knee injury. Shoemaker will be counted heavily as CJ Wilson has slid down to at least the 3rd man in the rotation until Richards gets back with Shoemaker at the #2 slot behind Weaver.

Betances was stellar for the Pinstripes and they will have to make a decision as Yanks captain save-a-game David Robertson says no to the Yanks formal qualifying offer. Is Betances ready to be the be the next "Sandman" for the Bombers as we might just find out in 2015!
