I remember like yesterday the greatness of one Grant Hill but I saw it in High School when he was tearing up ten State of Virginia at Reston VA. South Lakes High School also the home of one Duke Transfer to Boston University Terrier and former big Mac Joey Beard. A 6-8 Point Forward in the mold of Bulls Scottie Pippen except a more defined ball-handler and more athletic. Yes he made one huge mistake while playing with the Pistons of playing on that broken ankle that needed surgery.

Was Grant Hill the best player ever at Duke...yes without a doubt. Not looking at just Duke Players after they leave Durham but his career while at Duke. Grant was one of two players that gave Air Jordan and Mr. Pip 33 of the Bulls Nightmares defensively. The other being Memphis Tennessee Treadwell HS Alum and Memphis Tiger Great Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway. Its was their Length, athleticism, ball-handling, basketball IQ, and overall talent that made Grant and Penny tough covers for Team Six Chips in the 90s.

Grant now having played 19 season and his last being with the L.A. Clippers will hang them up but not after being on one of the best Stat Lists ever in the Logo. This list is equally as impressive as the 50-40-90 Club or the 25k pt, 12k reb, and 2.5k assist Club (only Three to do this Dream, Wilt 20K, and Sky Hook). Hills is one of Six players to average 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists in his first five seasons. (pictured right T-Mac n Grant and what could have been if Hill could have gotten that ankle right....O-Magic might have got a Chip...Real Talk)

The 20-5-5 List through First Six NBA Seasons

"Big O" Cincinnati Royals 1960-66
the "Logo" L.A. Lakers 1960-66
"Larry Legend" The C's 1979-85
Air Jordan Bulls 1984-90
Grant Hill Pistons 1994-2000
King James Cavs 2003-2009

If that is not impressive enough what of Grant would have never had the injury we would be talking north of 25K Points and the other numbers would be high ranking as well talking rebounds and assists. Look for Grant to possibly be on T.V or even in some ones front office as he is NBA Royalty.  They don't make them on and off the court like Grant anymore.
