The Arizona Diamonds lead a division that is separated from one through five by just seven games. The D-Backs lead the NL West and the Contract-Loaded Boys in Blue are in the 5th place as we go to press. The D-Backs have to of the Senior Circuit's Best on the Bump and at the Dish leading their charge.

On he Bump it's the first NL Pitcher to Nine Wins in Left-Hander Patrick Corbin who is 9-0 with a 2.28 ERA while striking out 74 and giving up 23 free passes. Show Hitters are only hitting .212 against Corbin and he is the main reason the D-Backs are now in catbird seat in the NL West. Closer Heat Bell has been better than average as he still isn't the Heath Bell we are accustomed to seeing as he is 12/14 in Save Chances with a blown up ERA of 4.23.

Many Observers through the D-Backs would be fine without Justin Upton and they have been right on the head with that one. Enter First Baseman Paul Goldschmidt and his monster numbers at the Dish for the D-Backs in  2013. Goldschmidt is hitting a solid .304 with 17 bombs and sixty-two ribbies while scoring some 47 runs and is #4 on the Senior Circuit in extra-base hits with 34.

Take P.G.'s numbers and throw them in with emerging Star Center Fielder for the D-Backs Gerardo Parra's (pictured right) numbers and the D-Backs have a nice 1-2 Punch in that line up. Parra is hitting .312 with 5 Bombs and twenty-three ribbies along with scoring 44 runs. He is also tied for #8 on the Senior Circuit with 30 extra-base hits. Both Players have been raking since the start of the 2013 season and  to slow down the D-Backs at the Dish you must take care of their #2 and #3 hitters in Parra and Goldschmidt.

The D-Backs have the Recipe but can they run the table and get that elusive NL West Crown from the Defending World Champion Gigantes and the NL West Favorite Boys in Blue...the Dodgers. A little more Starting pitching and a heavy dose of the
old Heath Bell might get them there.
