The Chicago Sky might have played their worst half all season as they were down 30-15 after then first frame to the New York Liberty and Star PG Cappie Pondexter (21 Pts and played at Marshall HS on West Side of the 'Go by way of Rutgers). The Sky slowly found their rhythm as they went on a 29-12 2nd frame run to get the lead at the break 44-42.

Behind 26 points, seven rebounds, and six assists effort from former Lady Blue Hen Star and current Sky Rookie Elena Delle Donne...the Sky stay the course and beat the Liberty 87-74. The used a 25-13 final frame to close the deal and the "W" puts the Sky at 6-3 on the season and two games behind the 2012 WNBA Champion Atlanta Dream. Also joining the fray was the other Sky Star and former LSU #GeauxTigers Star Hooper Sylvia Fowles who added a monster 19 points, fourteen rebounds, and four blocks as she filled the Stats Sheet like she always does. Star Shooting Guard Epiphany Prince chipped in with 14 points as Star back-up Point Eshaya Murphy put in 13 points. The only other player in double figures for the Liberty outside of Pondexter was Guard Leilani Mitchell who added 12 points and seven helpers.

The Sky get their 2nd best test of the season on Saturday June 29 as they face Naperville, Illinois Star by way of Rocky Top Candace "the Original CP3" Parker and the L.A. Sparks.
