The Texas Rangers picked a real good time to put some W's together as they take three of four from the AL West leading Oakland Athletics. The Rangers finished off that feat Today by getting a 4-3 victory as Ranger RHP Josh Lindblom went five innings giving up two runs on eight hits. His counterpart A's RHP A.J. Griffin went 5 1/3 and gave up three hits and two runs as well as neither pitcher factored in the "W".

Rangers Ian Kinsler with the A's up 3-2 hit a 2-run single to close the scoring in the bottom half of the 7th frame. The Rangers then in the top half of the 9th inning throw out A's Hot Corner Josh Donaldson at the dish to end the game and preserve the Rangers 4-3 "W" one game out in the AL West. Rangers Closer Joe Nathan then does what Joe Nathan does an gets his 22nd Save after almost being on the hook for a "W" or "L".

The A's leave town traveling to 206 for a three game set with the M's. Meanwhile the Rangers need to forget this game quickly as they will play three in Baseball Town USA...St. Louis, Missouri and the #1 Record in the Show...the Redbirds. The Rangers must take care of business and at least take two of three on the Redbirds as the A's have the advantage heading to the Northwest for three.
