Reds Ace Johnny Cueto is a little a week removed from the D.L. and the Pirates felt the "Wrath of Johnny" Tonight as the Red Legs take the opener 6-0 in the 3-game set vs the Pirates. Cueto went eight innings allowing six hits and striking out and no ducks crossed the dish. Buccos Starter Wandy Rodriguez didn't pitch bad as he allowed only two runs on five hits and two of those five left the premises compliments of Reds OF Jay Bruce and Second Baseman Brandon Phillips. For the first time in a long time the Pirates bullpen got roughed up a little as they allow crooked two's in the top half of the 8th and 9th. Reds strike first in the Battle of the .600 Clubs of the NL Central.

The Pinstripes C.C. of Jordan Brand went 7 1/3 striking out ten Bo Sox Hitters as he gets over the .500 mark moving to 5-4. The Yankees win the game 4-1 as they get to Carmines LHP Jon Lester as he allowed four runs on six hits while mowing down five Yankees. The Yanks needed that after going 0-fer vs the rival Amazins' this past week as they move within a game of the AL East leading Red Sox. More good news was the Yanks get both Kevin Youkilis and Mark Texieria back off the D.L..

Stras of the "Potomac 2-Pack"...Nats RHP and Ace Stephen Strasburg left the game vs the Braves with a reported strained oblique and that's good news. The real good news is that the Nats strike first in their three game set vs the Braves in the 404 with a 3-2 win. The Nats have some ground to make up as they came in some 5 1/2 games behind the NL East leading Braves now its 4 1/2. Stras left after just two innings as Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman took him deep for a solo bomb in the bottom half of the 2nd. The Plot thickens on Saturday with the other side of the "Potomac 2-Pack" G2...Gio Gonzalez of the Nats taking on Braves Tim "Huddie" Hudson by way of the Plains...Auburn University.
