The Chicago Blackhawks plan is to use their speed as a decisive advantage over the L.A. Kings physical play and the Hawks speed is working in a major way. The Hawks spot Net Minder Corey Crawford four early goals before the Kings could tally their first one on their way to a 4-2 victory and a 2-0 series lead in the best of seven Western Conference Series.

It was Andrew "Worker Bee #1" Shaw who hit the Nylon first with a wrister not even two minutes into the game. Shaw with all that "Grit and Grind" (thanks Grizz Tony Allen) is always around the action and his first one was the ignited the Hawks Offense. Defenseman Brent Seabrook's slap shot right before the end of the first period took the air out of the Kings sail.

Then seven minutes into the 2nd frame Bickell's backhand goes right between the 5-hole thanks to a kings Defensman on the assist to make it 3-0. Not even two minutes after that Handzus wrist one past Quick and that was it for J-Quick. Just four goals on 17 shots was not going to cut it as he frankly is seeing too much action as the Kings have to do a better job of keeping him not under fire. The Kings get two late goals at the end of each Period to make it a 4-2 final.

Game three and four moves to the L.A. Staples Center as for tight now the Kings are the only game in Town worth watching as the Dodgers are in your mama's basement.  Game three will commence on Tuesday June 4 at 8pm ET. The Kings are undefeated at home this Winning Time Season and that will get put to s stern test on June 4th.
