A classic Spurs game just hanging around doing what they do as the opposition in this instant the Clips could not shake them. Then like a Cheetah lying in the wait in Hunt Mode the Spurs with all that game experience post mid-April wins on key possessions down the stretch.

The game was the Spurs temp and flow all game long with a 20-14 Clips lead after one and a 42-39 Clips lead after two. The Clips tried pulling away in the 3rd with their biggest lead at 64-57 late in the 3rd. The Spurs though cut the lead to 70-64 heading into the 4th. Kawhi Leonard led the Spurs through three with 20 points and Blake Griffin led LAC with 19 points.

The Spurs break the 4th frame huddle with nothing but post-April "Spur Wars" on their mind and holds the Clips to 15 points while scoring 25 to get a 89-85 "W". The Spurs of course rode K.L. (26 pts 10 rebs), Dunc (18 pts 11 rebs), TP9 (13 pts 5 asst), and Manu (10 pts) as Boris Diaw was the only other Spurs player to score in the 4th.

The ironic things was that the Clips led 82-75 with just under six minutes remaining after a CP3 runner. That would be the last time the Clips would score until Jamal "206" Crawford hit three free throws cutting a 87-82 Spurs lead to 87-85 with under 25 seconds remaining.

On the ensuing Spurs possession Manu missed both free throws only for the Clips CP3 to miss a potential game-tying lay-up with 2.9 remaining. K.L. iced the game with two free throws as the Spurs win 89-85.

That was the same ole Spurs channel and same ole Spurs time..."Spur Wars" in a nutshell! S.A.S. moves to 3-3 and the Clips fall to 4-3...
