The Chicago Blackhawks needed a game like this as it has been hard to get any success in and around the "Blue Paint". The Hawks hit former Hawks net minder Antti Niemi with three goals in the first frame and get late insurance to get a 5-2 win.

The Hawks Trevor Van Riemsdyk, Brent Seabrook, and Niklas Hjalmarsson all scored with in three minutes to move the Indian Head up 3-0 in the 1st. Team Teal did cut that lead to 3-1 before the end of the 1st with a goal from Joe Pavelski.

Then in the 2nd frame on a Team Teal power play it was Pavelski beating Hawks net minder Corey Crawford again making it 3-2 the Indian Head. The Hawks at the end of two out shot the Sharks 26-22.

That score held up for most of the 3rd and final period as Bryan Bickell beat Niemi with a nifty move on the left side of the net making it 4-2 Hawks. Captain Serious capped the Hawks and game scoring with an empty netter with just under two minutes remaining for a Hawks 5-2 win.

The Hawks ended up with 37 total shots to the Sharks 34. Crawford stopped 32 of 34 shots. Niemi halted 32 of 36 shots as the Sharks fall to 8-6-2 good for 5th in the Pacific. The Hawks moving to 8-6-1 good for 4th in the central.

The Indian Head will entertain the Lightning of Tampa Bay on Veteran's Day 2014 Tuesday November 11, 2014 at the Madhouse!
