The Detroit Lions move to an impressive 7-2 and a game and a half lead in the NFC north over the Green Bay Packers as they stayed the course in a tough last minute win vs the Dolphins. In a game dominated by frames with the Lions winning the 1st and 4th and the Phins owning the 2nd and 3rd it was Lions QB "Staff" who got the last laugh!

Stafford hit Lions RB Theo Riddick on a side-arm toss from 11 yards with just 25 seconds remaining to give the Lions the 20-16 win. Staff was 25 for 40 for 280 yards and two TD's and an INT. Both "MEGAtron" Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate combined for 222 yards on eighteen grabs and a score. Dolphins CB Brent Grimes did his bets to stop Johnson who is a load as he picked off "Staff" in the Phins only INT.

Phins QB Ryan Tannehill was 27 for 38 for 201 yards and a TD and INT. The Dolphins "D" just could not stop that Lions offense when they had to falling to 5-4. The Lions trying to nail down home field in the NFC moves to 7-2.
