The Dallas Mavericks could not have scripted the game plan better as one of the best in the Logo Mavs Lead Man Rick Carlisle had GSW on the ropes but they could not stop Under Armor's "Human Torch 30" Steph Curry as he goes "En Fuego" in the 4th and then a game-winner like only Steph can.
The Mavs led the Warriors 55-44 at the break and held GSW to just 16 points in the first frame. The Warriors to their credit played good enough "D" to get some key stops in the 3rd to close the gap to a five point deficit. The Mavs paying extremely well knew it was coming but didn't know how much and the it happened. Steph Curry goes for 16 in the 4th (33 pts in the Game) as the Warriors tie the game late only to have Steph hit the game-winner with 1.9 on the clock to seal the deal for the Warriors as Dub Nation went crazy.
The Mavs couldn't have played any better at least on "D" as they did shoot just above 42% from the field. Both Dirk and Monta each had 21 points with Mavs PG Jose Calderon adding 18 points, five rebounds, and six helpers. The Warriors get 17 from Harrison Barnes, a double-double from David Lee at 15 points and eleven boards, and Aussie Big Andrew Bogut added six points but grabbed eighteen Oranges off the glass. To the Warriors Credit it came down to what Lead Man "Action Jackson" has been talking about all along and that is getting "Stops" on the defensive end and rebounding and that is exactly what happened.
The Mavs drop to 13-10 and the Warriors move up to 13-10 as both of these Teams I have a feeling will meet again...sometime in April 2014.
