Give the Atlanta Falcons all the credit in the world for not lying down like some Salmon getting ready to get cut at "Fisherman's Wharf". The 49ers win but it was ugly as the Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals took close notes. That NFL Week 17 Schedule is filled with a 5-Star Appetite and throw the Hostess Cakes out.

The Niners Offense woke up in the 2nd half but it was the Falcons Offense that drove...and drove...and drove some more down the Niners "Bread and Margarine" that "D" to make it a game in the end. Falcons QB Matt Ryan threw for 348 yards on 37/48 as he had two TDs and two INTs and that costly game-winning Pick 6 in the end. Roddy and Tony of the "Peach Drop 3" did their part as they were missing Julio to round out the Trio. White caught 12 Pigs for 141 yards and a score. Gonzo was steady-eddy moving the chains and working in the middle of the field as he had grabbed 8 Pigs for 63 yards. The Niners couldn't stop either one as the Clock just ran out.

As for the Niners who clinch a Playoff Slot as they get ready for Round 2 of the "Fight for George" struggled in the first half. Yes they got back on track in the 2nd half but that slow start cannot happen in Winning Time or you will back at OTA's before you know it. RB Gore ran for 97 yards on 21 carries and a score while WR Crab grabbed 5 Pigs for 102 yards. The Niners when running first passing 2nd and that Run Game is going...tough to stop. When they get creative and want to show a few tricks...Pop Warner. We know this you win in the Playoffs with "D" as "D" travels as sometimes your Offense will not. Can the Niners win with QB Kap putting up 13 for 21 for 197 yards passing and a TD even if the Run Game is Green Light?

The Niners now head to Arizona where they could spoil the Cardinals Hopes at a Playoff Run as Bird Gang needs to win and a Saints loss it's that simple.

So long Candlestick Park as Backer Bowman hits the Record Books as the last Niner to hit Pay Dirt at the Stick on a Play to remember fro ages and if they win the Big One...forever!
