The New Orleans Pelicans started off on the right foot and got out to a 58-45 lead at the break and never looked back on the Nugs. A combination of soon to be All-Star Ant Davis and Combo G Tyreke Evans the Pelicans pulled away early and the Nugs didn't have enough firepower on the bench to overcome the Pelicans surge.

The Pelicans get six players in double figures including a nice floor game from REKEhavoc of 19 points, ten helpers, and seven assists. The Pelicans Front Line combined to go Biggie-Size through Anderson, Davis, and Aminu with 44 points, twenty-five boards, and six helpers. It was the Bench behind REKEhavoc's 19 and a 36-17 advantage NOLA that put the Nugs as a huge disadvantage.

The Nugs get 22 points and nine boards from Wilson Chandler and 16 points and ten boards from JJ Hickson as they Nugs Bench gave them nothing. A +15 from the ARC kept the Pelicans lead from getting to 30 plus for the Nugs. Too much time wasted trying to get back in it as well as energy cost the Nugs.

The Pelicans move to 13-14 while the Nugs fall to 14-14 after a 58-24 campaign in 2013-14.
